The Mozcafe and Mozactivate event that took place in Buea on Satuday 22nd April 2017


The event started at 3pm prompt with 25people present.
The agenda of the meeting was read and adopted by the Mozilla Rep - Nges Brian.

An Introductory Prayer came from Tafang Joshua who asked God to guide the Mozilla Community of Buea to grow from strength to strength and organize events that can help to spread the mission of the community and also to give mozilla the expected outcome of a Community.

The Mozilla Rep present gave and Introductory talk welcoming everyone to the event. He also asked everyone present to introduced him or herself. At the end of the Introduction, he added that he is so happy to a bulk of girls present at the event and also he spoke of the existence of a Mozilla Women program call Womoz though it is currently on restructure, he told the girls to work with Mondjo Perside to come up with something that can keep the girls together.

He then Continued with the agenda where there he gave a brief introduction on the Topic "What is Mozilla". During this period, he tried to differentiate Mozilla as a company and the Mozilla Community. He also explained the origin of Mozilla and the open source nature of the Company.

He then moved to the next point of the aganda which was "Mozilla products" He have an introduction to a lot of Mozilla products that were new to 95%  of attendance. At this, he also differentiated Mozilla as a company and Mozilla FIrefox web Browser.

After that ,a talk was  given on the activities of Mozilla Cameroon for 2016. He tried to explain what the Mozilla community is all about , the benefits of belonging to it.  As for 2017, The Mozilla Rep was called up to tell the attendees how it will run. He promised to sent out a clear program before June this year.

Nges Brian, Spoke about the Mozilla Campus club and at the end, he said anyone interested in Creating a club in His university should sent him a mail or text message or visit https://campus.mozilla.community/ to read more.

A test install pilot was ran from https://testpilot.firefox.com/ and at the end of it, it was feedbacks were collected and we got 95% successful.
10people participated in this session because the others never had Computers present. But everyone promised to come with his/her Computer the next time.


the Snooze tap, containers and pulse were ran.

we agreed that the next Mozactivate will simply be testing and testing. at least 9test pilots will be ran.

Then , there was a conclusion from Lizette.  She said she said she was interested in being part of the community hoping the goals of the community doesn't change.

It was time for pictures . pictures were taken then departure . The meeting ended with 47participants.

It was my greatest pleasure organizing this event. I hope to organize more events this year. The attendance stands at 60% because it was university Games and also many students had travel due to the absent of Internet and are still to return. The event was also just advertise by a few members. with the 40people this time, we hope to have at least 150 next event.

Mozcaffe and Mozactivate- "install Test Pillot " event in Buea

it is a pleasure for me to plan my first event in Cameroon as Mozilla rep.
I plan to have organize my First Mozilla Coffee in Buea at Linas on Saturday 31 of March 2017.

Please the entire Mozilla Community of Cameroon and Buea is invited.
When Coming for this event, try to bring your Laptops because there shall be a hand-on activity. It shall be an opening to everyone and all of you shall enjoy your stay there.

New Mozilla Rep

My name is Njungle Nges Brian and I am a new Mozilla Rep to Cameroon.
I am also part of the CAC and also a Regional Coordinator at Mozilla.

It is a pleasure to become a Mozilla rep.
I think with this post, I am going to look into the development of Mozilla Community in Cameroon.
